EDGE ADAPTIVE MISSIONS, LLC

Mission-grade telecom and cybersecurity engineering for the operational edge.

We design, integrate, and harden the networks that have to work when the conditions don't — forward operating sites, contested spectrum, austere field deployments, and the long tail of remote infrastructure that sustains them.

Built for environments where the network can't fail.

Four tightly coupled practice areas, delivered by a single accountable engineer with two decades of operator-side experience — not handed off across a layer of account managers.

Network Architecture & Integration

End-to-end design of resilient, vendor-agnostic communications infrastructure — from RF planning and link budgets through multi-vendor integration, performance tuning, and sustainment.

  • Fiber, satellite, microwave, wireless
  • Multi-path failover & SD-WAN overlay
  • Software-defined multi-tenant campus with overlay segmentation
  • RF planning & link-budget analysis
  • Vendor-agnostic system integration

Tactical & Expeditionary Comms

Communications that hold up where infrastructure doesn't. SATCOM, private LTE/5G, mesh radio, and high-throughput free-space optical and mm-wave links, integrated with COMSEC and built to deploy, sustain, and tear down on operational timelines.

  • SATCOM & private LTE/5G
  • Starlink integration & geo-fence bypass
  • MANET / mesh networking
  • Free-Space Optical (FSO) & mmWave links
  • COMSEC integration
  • Forward-deployable kits

Cybersecurity for OT & Field Systems

Zero-trust segmentation, hardened endpoints, and ransomware-resilient architectures for operational technology and field-deployed assets — including double-encrypted private mesh overlays for high-sensitivity traffic.

  • Zero-trust at the edge
  • OT / ICS segmentation
  • Data-diode solutions
  • Encrypted overlay & mesh
  • VPN & network-stealth for restrictive jurisdictions
  • Ransomware-resilient backup & DR

Manufacturing & Supply Chain

Consulting for hardware programs that have to clear compliance, integrity, and lifecycle gates — from component sourcing through electronics design, contract manufacturing, and firmware delivery.

  • Compliant component sourcing (NDAA / TAA)
  • Contract manufacturing & EMS qualification
  • Electronics & PCB design
  • Firmware development & security
  • Supply-chain integrity & traceability

Operator-engineered. Vendor-agnostic. Sustainment-first.

Most "secure comms" architectures are decks. Ours are run books, link budgets, BOMs, and tested cutover plans — designed by an engineer who has owned production networks for U.S. Central Command Forward Headquarters and other strategic sites, and is accountable to the outcome, not the proposal.

  • // 01
Mission-first Every architecture decision is traced back to the operational requirement. Throughput, latency, and resilience targets are negotiated, not assumed.
  • // 02
NDAA & TAA-aware Supply-chain integrity is treated as a design constraint, not a checkbox — including direct experience developing NDAA- and TAA-compliant CPE platforms.
  • // 03
Designed to degrade gracefully Networks for austere environments fail. We design how they fail — with multi-path, multi-bearer architectures and clear fallback states.
  • // 04
Accountable to sustainment The right answer in the field is the one your team can run after we're gone. Documentation, training, and clean handoff are part of the deliverable.

Two decades of secure, resilient global communications.

Edge Adaptive Missions is led by its principal — a single accountable engineer with deep DoD, federal, and commercial experience.

Peter Catranis

Principal & Founder

Peter Catranis is a seasoned technology executive and network architect with more than 20 years of experience designing and leading secure, resilient global communications infrastructure. As CTO and CEO of private organizations, he directs global engineering teams delivering mission-critical ICT networks in support of the U.S. Department of Defense, Department of State, coalition partners, and commercial enterprises across the USA, CENTCOM, and other operational theaters.

Peter has architected high-availability commercial and enterprise networks for U.S. Central Command Forward Headquarters and other strategic sites, integrating fiber, satellite, wireless, and secure overlay technologies into unified, performance-optimized platforms. He has led the development of NDAA- and TAA-compliant CPE routers and switching platforms, ensuring supply-chain integrity while advancing scalable, secure service delivery.

In prior executive roles, Peter built and led a secure managed infrastructure practice specializing in ransomware-resilient backup, disaster recovery, and geo-diverse data center design. He has also designed and deployed secure overlay networking solutions, including double-encrypted private mesh architectures for high-profile institutional clients.

A Cisco and ITIL certified professional, Peter combines deep technical mastery with executive leadership, driving innovation in secure telecommunications, hybrid cloud management, and expeditionary infrastructure operations.

Bring us in early.

Whether the requirement is a CENTCOM forward site, a humanitarian field deployment, or hardening an OT network you can't take offline, we engage best at the architecture stage — before vendor commitments lock in the constraints.
